E 'woman's new secretary of the South Asian

For the first time in its history the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) has
a woman secretary general. This is Fathimath Dhiyana Saeed, representative of the Maldives, which has come to Khatmandu to officially assume the task assigned in a recent summit of the organization in Bhutan. The Nepalese press Saeed points out today that not only the first woman at the helm of the body of South Asian regional cooperation, but with its 30 years is also the youngest person appointed to this role so far.
